Canna Bethany
New for 2012! 3 litre plant £15.95 JP2910 |
A new Canna from Jungle Seeds that has almost identical foliage to Pretoria, however the orange flowers have an attractive yellow edge. Like Pretoria it is a strong robust plant clumping up well. Should you ever get a plant mixed up with Pretoria you can tell the difference in the foliage as Bethany does not have the tiny narrow pink edge to the leaves that can be seen on Pretoria. |

Canna Cleopatra
New for 2012! 3 litre plant £18.95 JP276 |
A most unusual Canna also known as "Yellow King Humbert" that sports both red and yellow spotted flowers on the same plant. Not so tall at about 4ft but a robust plant with attractive green and maroon splashed leaves. The plant was originally a chimera of Roi Humbert that has both green and red genes that sporadically come out in both flower and foliage. Occasionally it will produce an all red form that is not the same as Roi Humbert with deeper red flowers and darker foliage and is named "Ty-Ty Red". |

Another excellent purple foliage Canna. Strong clumping habit to 5ft or more with virus resistant foliage. The small orange flowers are not anything to write home about, but still attractive. A lovely foliage plant that is also proving quite hardy. The picture shows a 6ft tall clump in late August that was left in the ground in our Oxfordshire garden, unprotected over the 2004/5 winter but did not survive the colder winter of 2005/6. |

A slow growing Canna with long extended flowering shoots of a soft candyfloss salmon pink to 4ft in an arching habit. The beautiful deep purple bronze clean foliage contrasts well with the flowers but you will need a warm sheltered spot outside for the this plant to be seen at its best. A lovely heritage Canna dating back to 1902, the beautiful purple bronze leaves are a perfect foil for the soft pink flowers that fade to shades of peach and apricot. Medium height of 4ft to 6ft and a good strong plant that clumps up well creating a wonderful display. This Canna is gorgeous in both bloom and foliage. The huge leaves are dark purple/black and the large orange red, fading to scarlet red flowers are truly stunning. Excellent as a tall specimen Canna or for mass planting growing to 7ft. A very strong clean plant always in high demand. We used to incorrectly sell this plant as Black Knight but have now determined it to be Canna Roi Humbert (not to be confused with Red King Humbert that is a much shorter plant) |

Canna Yellow Bird
New for 2011! but limited availability! 3 litre plant £17.95 JP3063 |
A superb seed raised hybrid by Jungleseeds that is a cross of Orange Punch and Richard Wallace. The result is a slightly taller plant than Orange Punch with large open deep yellow spotted flowers held in large sprays rather than upright. This species habit is derived from its Inridiflora genes obtained through Orange Punch. The flowers are self dead heading but needs a sheltered spot to help prevent older flowers dropping too early. Deep green strong foliage. |
