Oregon Scientific Remote Weather Stations
For all tropical plant
enthusiasts keeping an eye on the temperature in polytunnels,
greenhouses and conservatories is a key factor and on frosty nights it
can be critical. I keep two units indoors, 3 sensors on each one, and
check the temperatures in our greenhouses and polytunnels last thing at
night and first thing in the morning without having to go outside. On
many an occasion this has avoided a disaster. Be safe don't be without
one of these useful low cost remote wireless weather stations. Choosing
the right product from Oregon is a bit of a minefield, so I have tried
to provide as much information as is available, including things that
are not obvious from the marketing information!

Radio Controlled Projection Clock RMR966P - Comes with

If like me you wear glasses or contact lenses and cannot
see the clock in the morning without putting on glasses, this is for
you. It projects large time and temperature numbers on to your bedroom
ceiling that are easy to read, displaying the outside temperature also
tells you if you need extra time in the morning to defrost your car! The
clock is controlled by the MSF signal from Rugby so it is precise to the
minute and adjusts automatically to and from British Summer Time. It
tells you the temperature inside and outside and includes a light
sensitive night light that switches on/off automatically as it gets
dark. I find this a real boon and stops me wandering in to the wardrobe
