JS&G is an established Company located in South Oxfordshire, now in it's seventh year of trading. We specialise in supplying tropical seeds, tropical tubers/rhizomes and tropical plants. Our tropical plant range includes plants for summer bedding purposes plus many rather unique plants for the keen enthusiast with warm greenhouse conditions.

We are a husband and wife management team with a growing band of enthusiastic workers to support our expanding business but we are still small enough to add that personal touch to your enquiries. Our principal growth focus is towards seeds/tubers as the infrastructure required on plants is more difficult and was initially set up as an offshoot from growing our own seeds. We currently stock in excess of 5000 tropical plants in heated greenhouses and Polytunnels and propagate most of these ourselves.

We also supply a supporting range of products which include heating, lighting and propagating products as well as a full range of books on our chosen subject.

History - my own background has been in the computer industry since University days but my family has been in the gardening business for many generations originally from Kent. However this horticultural focus died out two generations ago until I picked it up again. Interestingly I recently found a business card you can see by clicking here and pictures of my grandfather at work many years ago you can see here and here. I will always remember at 4 years old walking through steam heated greenhouses full off growing plants on my grandfathers nursery. I hope that what we have created through JungleSeeds&Gardens would have been appreciated by my grandfather and a favourite long lost uncle, who's horticultural skills will always outweigh anything I can ever hope to achieve.

We are pleased to offer on-line ordering through our secure server arrangement with professional "Shop Factory" software on both of our seeds and plants web sites..

You can browse the site, selecting items of interest, indicate the quantity, place in the shopping trolley and decide which to purchase when you reach the checkout. Any or all items can be changed or deleted at anytime. When you are happy with your selection enter purchasing details directly through our PGP encrypted, secure and user friendly Web Site Shopping Basket. Please note that we do not automatically debit your credit cards at time of order. We normally cash cheques and process credit cards just before shipment of goods. In the unlikely event that you make a mistake with your on line order, please e-mail or telephone us immediately so that we can resolve the problem before processing your order.

JS&G would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been kind enough to place business with us in 2007. Especially those who have had extended delivery times for the rarer seeds and plants on offer. We plan to continue increasing our range of exotic species and you will find in this years catalogue and Web Site many new fascinating introductions.

To cater for customers who perhaps like me, are always looking for the unusual, we are continually searching for rare choice items to add to our portfolio. However many of these will be in short supply because of propagation limitations and are offered on a limited availability scenario. We also extended our "Roots" section again in 2007 to include an unusual range of autumn bulbs/rhizomes and tubers.

We will continue in 2008 to retain the category approach to our catalogues and internet site to help customers make the right choice. However in addition we intend to add a complete alphabetic plant and seed option index to the  website for customers who know what they are looking for.

Operational We are strictly mail order with specially designed packaging to protect your tender plants sent by overnight courier. Delivery lead times will vary depending on the time of year and availability and we do not normally ship plants outside of the April to September window. We take backlog orders for plants from Autumn to April and these are dispatched on a FIFO basis as soon as the weather and plants permit. Please bear with us if ordering during this periods as your plant order will join the bottom of the queue. We aim to clear all outstanding plant orders by the end of June where possible.
